Medical Receptionist and SchedulerWe are looking for someone that provides exemplary customer service to all prospective and existing patients, provider offices, vendors, and the general public through friendly, compassionate, respectful, informed, timely, and results-oriented interactions.
Practices superior judgment, communication, and follow-through in all situations; identifies, anticipates, and fulfills the unique needs of each internal and external customer; ensures every action/decision is consistent with practice policies, vision, mission, culture, goals, and all applicable laws; completes all work with precision, on or ahead of schedule; continually learns, updates and communicates expert practice and industry knowledge; keeps private all patient, staff, and company confidential information. Stays abreast of all aspects of daily office operations; responds quickly and effectively to all requests, problems, and expressed or anticipated needs. Guides phlebotomists in the field and at the draw centers under the direction of Medical Director (MD) and/or the CEO; serves as expert back-up to all administrative positions; becomes technically competent in phlebotomy medical terminology and technology, policies and procedures, phlebotomy principles and general medical knowledge. Serves as New Patient Coordinator: handles all incoming provider referrals, new patient inquiries, scheduling, and requests. As necessary, coordinates with provider offices handle requests of medical information and mailing of or following-up on paperwork; converts very high percentage of callers and referrals to patients through assessing unique customer needs and delivering upon them. Serves as front-desk reception and handles most incoming calls. Manages inbound fax distribution and call flow. Maintains all elements of provider and office schedules in the electronic scheduler: manages patient cancellation lists and ensures appointments are back-filled. Executes established policies and new policies set forth by MD and/or the CEO; provides input for policy creation or modification, ensures the office is kept in pristine physical condition, and oversees that patient areas are clean and sanitary. Troubleshoots basic hardware and software issues; contacts and works with telephone IT, network IT, EMR IT, and merchant services IT, as necessary Manages telephone outbound greetings and phone schedules. Performs research online as directed by MD and/or the CEO. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: Daily we sanitize each room through a mobile bacteria and viral sanitizing handheld machine. Our front desk has a plexiglass face shield attached to protect patients and the Medical Receptionist. we take temperatures and wear masks indoors. |
